Chic on the Cheap Look of the Week: Try Metallics this Shabbos

Hey Fashion-isha fans! I’m back after a long, busy week full of weddings and sheva brochos. It’s been a whirlwind and I’m really looking forward to a restful weekend. Shabbos is the day we pause our hectic schedules for some spirituality and r&r, but that doesn’t mean we have to loaf around looking like blobs. I love to get dressed nicely, add a little glitz, set my table with a pretty centerpiece and do my make-up beautifully. I was inspired by this divine little metallic dress so I put together a few metallic inspired dresses, sparkly belts and a pair of classic shoes to go with all. All the dresses are under $100, belts under $11 and shoes only $22.80!!

Note: All dresses may need a shell and/or skirt underneath for modesty.

Dresses Clockwise:

French Connection Jacquard Metallic Dress : $99.99

French Connection Chain Smock Dress: $99.99

Allsaints Jersey Beaded Dress: $80

Allsaints Asymmetric Drape Dress: $95

Belts:

Black Stretch Rhinestone Belt (left) $8.49

Bling Bow Stretch Belt (right) $10.80

Shoes:

Forever 21 Platform Pumps $22.80

Ok, now that you’re all glammed out with metallics, let the inspiration overflow onto the Shabbos table.  I love a grouping of two or three  metallic vases with a single orchid for a clean modern look. This centerpiece on a plain white tablecloth will add a soothing vibe to your table:

Find vases like this at your local Home Goods, Marshalls, TJ Maxx or HERE.

And finally, try a metallic sweep of shimmer on your eyes for a dramatic makeup look with staying power!

Try dabbing some loose shimmer shadow like Nyx Loose Pearl Shimmer Shadow across your lid softly with your fingertip. No major skills are needed for this technique. Finish with two coats of black mascara.

I hope your Shabbos shimmers with beauty, spirituality and lots of rest and relaxation!
