Flowers For Shabbos:Go Bold with COLOR!
Flowers for Shabbos: Go Bold with Color!
I am so excited and wanted to really thank you all for the great response to the first of my flowers series post I put up last week.
My KS fans really rock and are so creative – I am L-O-V-ing it! (keep on sending in those Shabbos flower pics please!)
So for this week’s post…
When I see flowers, I see COLOR.
Colors that are Bright, Vibrant, & Gorgeously Hued – I love putting together flowers that contrast in colors or bring big POPs of dazzling vivid color.
Bright Pink & Orange Clash? – Not in my flower world.
Many times, colors that traditionally are thought to be too intense and garish – when blended together in a stunning flower arrangement, instantly brings a dramatic and strikingly spectacular centerpiece to any room or table .
Last week I made some centerpieces for my cousin Eli K’s Bar Mitzvah.
My Aunt has learned that if she leaves the flower arrangements up to me
Most likely I will not go soft and monochromatic – but big POPs of Vibrant Color.
Her table cloths were these exquisite lilac – I decided to modernize it and add these beautiful fun Black & White vases I found in Marshals 6 years ago. Add to them some Antique Deep Green Hydrangeas with a purple tint and some hot pink roses – This arrangement’s colors made that Lilac table cloth just come alive.
For the smaller white flower vases that were used in clusters as a centerpiece, I found these great flour & sugar jars with a black rubber band in Marshals for $4.99, that I just turned inside out so the words like biscuit were hidden.
Here’s to A Shabbos that is Beautiful & Full of COLOR!!
