  3. my favourite holiday tradition is dipping an apple or challah in honey before every meal. it brings back memories spanning many generations from chiuldhood to grandmotherhood. i can still picture myself and my siblings sitting around our own dining room table and enjoying the warmth and camaradrie in anticipation of a new year filled with sweetness and happiness.today, i share these same emotions with my own children and grandchildren as we gather together to celebrate and welcome another year.

My favorite holiday tradition used to be on erev yom tov while may grandmother and mother were busy cooking my siblings and cousins and I used to make paper chains and string Shana Tova cards to hang in the sukkah as decorations. This year while I was busy cooking my kids were busy making paper chains to hang in the sukkah! After they were done we hung it up and sang the songs they learned in school.
