Happy Wednesday Everyone! Wow, I cannot believe that it is mid November already! You know what that means? Thanksgiving, Chanukah and the winter season is just around the corner! Changing seasons always bring along changing design ideas for your home. Anyone having guests this fall/winter season? Why not spruce up your guest room and have friends and family sleep over for the entire Shabbos? Early Shabbosim entitle you and your guests to a nice long evening of Friday night slumber…Your guests will thank you when you take the time to decorate the guest room and have luxurious amenities at their whim. Just think of your guest room as a home away from home for your guests.
Here are some great hostess tips to ensure your family and friends have a great time at your place:
*Always have nice water bottles and some dried fruit or candy on beautiful tray in the guest room.
*Set up an alarm clock with the correct time so your guests can know what time it is in case they awake in middle of the night.
*Go for the luxurious linens so your guests feel like they are at a 5 star hotel.
*Keep a few books or magazines in the room so your guests can have something to read if they would like to.
Please enjoy these pictures of inspiration for absolutely amazing guest rooms.
P.S. If you have the space, buy 2 twin beds or 2 beds in general so you can accommodate everyone, whether it be couples or single guys, or kids etc…
Have a great week!
Notice the beds are placed on “swings” (don’t worry they are stationary, so the beds don’t move when one sits down)
Clean and crisp guestroom. The linen really reiterates the outlines of the bed frame.
Have I gone to heaven?!! Green blue grasscloth wallpaper, twin beds, blue tufted velvet benches, wood headboards, and blue green silk drapes- LOVE
Yellow beachy cottage guest bedroom design with yellow faux bamboo fabric headboards & bed skirts, twin beds, yellow pillows, white& yellow faux bamboo nightstands, yellow gourd lamps and white garden stools. So chic.
Love the draperies and accent pillow against the otherwise simple wall and headboard.
A draped valance above a headboard is a great statement for two twin beds.
Twin beds with coronets make a positively posh statement. White bedding is contrasted with serene shades of dusty blue. Upholstered miniature accent side chairs are cleverly positioned at the foot of each bed.
These blue upholstered bed frames on legs steal the show in this guestroom. Pops of orange and yellow bring the monotone design to life.
So manly and cavelike. This bedroom feels like a warm and inviting cocoon that I just want to snuggle into. Notice how fresh flowers and a designer throw blanket brightens up the space.
Black and white and geometric all over… In guest rooms that I design I love to incorporate sconces on either side of the headboard or even place them right onto the headboard. (As seen in this room)
