Hello All! Hope you enjoyed your prolonged Thanksgiving weekend/Shabbos…I know I definitely did! Let’s talk dining rooms this week. A dining room can go so many ways because it all comes down to how much you entertain…how many people you have around your table, how big your dining room is, etc. You can really have fun designing your dining room, you can dress it up in antiques and crystal or you can pare it down with neutrals and earthy fabrics and tones. Whether modern, traditional, or transitional- your dining room needs to be a place in your home that you feel good in. You have to be comfortable and happy to host your guests and family alike in this room. When I design dining rooms I always like to evoke a feeling of romanticism and I love when the room feels moody. I think about how the room looks during both the day and the night. I always feel there should be something sparkly in a dining room, whether it a great shiny chandelier, a beautiful mirror, or simply luminous silver in the breakfront. Here are a mixture of great dining rooms and think about what style you like best…
This is a quaint black white and taupe dining room. The small size is perfect for a Pied a Terre or small apartment. I particularly like the monogrammed chair backs. (Did I ever tell you guys how much I love anything monogrammed?) The round sisal bordered rug repeats the shape of the round table and round room.
This dining room is so crisp and gorgeous. The tangerine color is pulled from the rug and applied to the chairs in different textures as well as them pagoda lantern above the table. The octagonal shaped table is quite chic.
Neutral farmhouse feeling dining room with a pop of modern color from that beaded turquoise chandelier. J’adore the contrast of the marble top against the rustic wooden beamed base table.
For my dream condo in Florida, this is exactly what I want. The huge modern art stands out and is a sure conversation starter.
Interesting mix of colors- notice the glazed turquoise walls with the accents of red and green. The fabric on the back of the chairs is a gorgeous “Missoni”esque print.
Gorgeous grey-blue dining room. Love so many aspects of this room- the grass cloth wallpaper, the rug, the chairs with the hook hardware on the back etc…
The lime green satin fabric is just beautiful against the neutral backdrop.
Adore the chinnoiserie wall paper with the different textures of fabric on the chairs.
Have a great week!!
