Gorgeous Kitchens That Will Keep You Thankfully Cooking All Year Long!
Happy Monday!!
Thanks to Thanksgiving, this week is a short one! Now this week’s blog is for all of you women (or men) and kids who are cooking and baking and prepping for Thanksgiving! These beautiful kitchens will get you in the spirit! In case the only preparations you are doing is making reservations, then just sit back and enjoy these pictures of absolutely incredible kitchen ideas…
If you are not in the market for a totally new kitchen, feel free to take inspiration from these kitchens and apply it to your own space…freshen up your dated kitchen with a new backsplash that can totally redefine the look of your area. How about investing in some new lighting? Or a new coat of a paint color? Even simply changing your kitchen hardware makes a huge impact without hitting heavy on your wallet.
There are so many different options when it comes to kitchens- Modern or traditional? Colors or neutral? High glam fancy or laid back casual? The list goes on and on…. however the most important aspects to keep in mind when designing a new kitchen are layout and function. If you are designing a new kitchen from scratch, I highly encourage you to take on a designer or kitchen specialist/designer. When your kitchen is set up properly and everything is in the right area, prepping, cooking and baking are made that much easier.
I love this fresh white and turquoise blue transitional kitchen design. The modern wave shaped stools and the amazing blue glass tile backsplash really create this harmonious ocean feel.
What makes this kitchen so dream worthy is the details…Here, old and new are mixed. The Italian Murano light fixtures are circa 1960, and the island is custom-made. Notice the painted floors, the coffered ceiling with inserted wallpaper, and the interior of the cabinets are painted that lovely turquoise as well.
A traditional classic white kitchen done right… soapstone counter tops, barrel range hood with forged iron straps, pot filler, white kitchen island with butcher block counter top, glass pendants and white slip-covered stools.
Open shelving makes this kitchen/dinette space feel so open and light.
Amazing kitchen with gray flat center panels kitchen cabinets, gray kitchen island, marble counter tops, marble backsplash, farmhouse sink, leather tapered ottomans with nailhead trim and tapered black kitchen island pendants. Notice the X design on the side of the island…so great…and the oversized coned shaped pendant lighting is just plain fab!
Another beautiful grey kitchen- I love the way the marble farmhouse sink looks against the cabinetry and I adore the single marble slab backsplash. The open shelving really makes the area feel so airy.
This hot pink kitchen is wild, but still somehow works. The neutral countertops, island table, and roman shades nicely juxtapose the bright pink color.
This white and yellow chic kitchen is downright gorgeous. I love the classic white cabinets with the bead board ceiling. The mixture of open shelving and closed upper cabinets works terrifically here. The large barrel range hood with forged iron straps is so utilitarian chic and those yellow ottomans and tapered cone pendant lights are beautiful. An important aspect of this kitchen is the dark glossy ebony wood floor- the contrast of the floor against the lightness everywhere else makes the room really pop.
Look how stunning a dark kitchen can be! The cabinets are painted a really deep grey and lightened up with a stainless steel and white backsplash. The chrome pendant fixtures and stools add a lightness and shiny aspect to the otherwise dark room. The leather club chairs with geometric cushions make the kitchen feel ultra cozy yet sophisticated.
I admire the combination of the rustic wooden beams and the traditional white cabinets. This is not something you see every day but I really love the architecture playing against the kitchen.
Hope you enjoyed this week’s post and it gave you that extra nudge to go out and beautify your kitchen. Whether it be something as big as new cabinet doors, or as simple as a new kitchen aid or vase to accessorize with…just remember to have fun and do what YOU love in your kitchen because it is the center of the home!
