Simply Delish..My New Snack Obsession The Simply Bar

It all started back in October at Kosherfest 2011. It was mid afternoon, and I was feeling like I was in the middle of some unknown relatives smorgasbord. You know those events, where you don’t know anyone but you want to make some friends, so you are shmoozing with anyone who will talk to you, all while you have your plate filled with all the things that looked edible from the tricked out buffet. Well that was pretty much Kosherfest this year.

Anyways, I was fatigued and actually pretty hungry (I had purposely not eaten that morning thinking I would fill up at the fest), and because there was not much at the fest that tempted my taste buds other than a few ices and ice cream products (typical me). When, I saw this table filled with protein bars.

Kosher Protein bars? Intrigued because these bars looked more like rice krispy bars than the typical dense not so edible kosher protein bar that I am use to, I stopped and tried one. It was pretty darn good.So I ate a few more samples trying all the flavors and handed the girl behind the table my kosherstreet card. She offered me a bar and the company’s info to take home and off I went to discover more kosher delights.

But this story really doesn’t end there. You see the next day I was home, pretty sick with a rotten early winter cold and very behind deadlines that were due that afternoon. AND to make the day even worse, I had no FOOD in my house – just ingredients, and I was in NO MOOD to make myself something to eat.

Desperate, I started to search through my purse frantically looking for some stray chocolate kisses I sometimes stash in there (come on I was sick give a girl a break)  – and there it was, The Simply Bar in Chocolate Peanut Butter Flavor – Manna from Heaven.

No Seriously – I ate the entire bar in about 8 seconds flat, not only was it satisfying all my chocolate cravings and hunger, it tasted really good for being a protein bar. So, I did what any self respecting food blogger would do (haha). I tweeted and posted on facebook a picture of  my serendipitous find and my utter delight with these delish Simply Bars!

Well guess what? The Simply Bar NY State Rep, Eleana,(that girl I met initially at the table), saw my tweet and sent me a whole case of them – WOO HOO! I have been hooked on them ever since. They have become my go to snack when I am busy and need a quick food fix.  It is just a big bonus really, that these bars are low in sugar, high in protein and are actually a healthy snack.

With my New Year Resolution of making an effort to live a HEALTHY LIFESTYLE, these killer KOSHER low sugar, gluten free, soy based, high protein bars are the perfect quick fix snack when I am desperate for a nosh in the middle of the day.

Today I tweeted/facebooked again about my love for these bars, and Eleana sent me an email offering me A GIFT BASKET to giveaway to one of my Kosherstreet fans filed with $100 worth of The Simply Bar Products!
