Hello Everyone! Happy Monday!
I wanted to pinpoint a fun trend that is huge in the design world right now. Maps are definitely not a new idea but so many designers are using maps in such bold and exciting ways.
Growing up, I remember the map luggage and how so many people used to have it. The colors on the map luggage are so neutral and beautiful and I remember loving it as a young girl. The concept of a map is so fun, full of adventure and exploration. I find it so interesting to just stare at maps and dream of places I haven’t been and where I would love to wander in the future.
In the following photos, maps are used as pieces of art, wallpaper, focal walls, and interiors of furniture. The map print is so fabulous because it is neutral and can be used in modern, traditional, or eclectic spaces. It is great in kid’s rooms, home offices, powder rooms, and can be dressed up to work in formal spaces as well.
Please enjoy these beautiful photos…
Until next week!

Love how the color palette is extracted from the map. (image via pinterest)
What a sweet and neutral young boys rooms. The map as wallpaper is not overwhelming at all. (image via elledecor)
Sophisticate and magnificent chocolate brown and green bedroom/playroom with the map used as art above the daybed. I also adore the striped roman shades with the bamboo roll-down shades underneath. Tip to consider- this room is so practical because it will transition to an older teenage boy’s room as well. (image via decorpad)
Why not take your flea market find and wallpaper the interior with a map? (image via http://peacockfeatherevents.blogspot.com)
