    I made mint chocolate chip ice cream pie and plan to make apple turnovers. When I was growing up, on special occasions my mother would get for desert ‘ice cream fruit’ which were large (same size as the fruit)fruit made out of ice cream. They came in orange, apple, banana, grape and each ‘fruit’ looked and tasted like its flavor. They were so good but I haven’t seen them in a long time. Once in a while I will see mini ‘lemon’ ices served at simchas after the fish but I haven’t seen the ones I’m referring to in a long time. Have you?

    This yom tov season I am serving different desserts to please my variety of guests: apple pie, pumpkin kugel, apple cranberry kugel, rugelach, and pareve ice cream.

    this desert looks wonderful. I’m heading to the website to see what else they have. So nice to have a different sweet ending to the Rosh Hashanah meal –especially if I don’t have to bake it!

    We usually try to sneak apples in as many places as we can and make dishes with the simanim foods.

    OK, so here it goes …. I just hope that my guests aren’t reading this comment! I plan to make a plum tort, a honeyed apple tort and a chocolate honey cake. I also plan to serve platters of cookies – white chocolate chip, snickerdoodles and oatmeal raisin. I’d love to include the apple sorbet to the menu. Shana Tova!
