Friday Favorites:Simply Brilliant Last Minute Shaloch Manos Ideas

 

Happy Friday Everyone! I truly hope that this week has treated you all well. If you live in a town like I do (Lakewood) Purim Fever is running rampant and the stores are packed with Mothers and their very eager kiddies scrambling to get ready for one of the most fun Jewish Holidays.

Purim is only days away and I know there are many of us who are in denial and have not even had a moment to really think about what you are going to give for Shaloch Manos this year!

So with a little help from pinterest.com I have put together a great list of some really inexpensive, easy and what I think are brilliant Shaloch Manos Ideas!

Easy & Elegant Ideas:

Cake in the Bottle

Just Fill up a canning glass jar or milk bottle that you can find in any craft store or even I know in my local Shoprite Grocery they sell them as well.

Get your favorite cookie or cake recipe and fill the bottle up. Add a Sticker with directions and you have what I think is a fantastic Shaloch Manos idea

The Gourmet Food Lover

Just take a colander (you can find some really cheap ones at the Dollar store most times) and fill with a great bottle of wine, some bread or a box of Pasta, our favorite tomato sauce and maybe a small bottle of some great olive oil and you have got a simple and delicious gift idea!

Gumball Machines

All you need are some restaurant plastic cups with 2 lids: flat and dome. These cups are pretty easy to purchase – most groceries and paper party stores are selling them now. If not google the nearest restaurant supply store in your area and they will gladly sell you a sleeve most times. Or many restaurant/café ‘s will be usually happy to sell you a sleeve as well.

 

The Lego Bag

Simple colore paper bags you can find in any craft or walmart like store. Add some circle cut out felt board stickers and you have just made a simple easy way to  present any food item you want for this years shaloch manos.

    I would like to make the gumball machine party favors for my daughter’s birthday next month, but am having a hard time locating the colored plastic cups. Do they come in colors or was there a colored paper insert placed inside of them?
