White Chocolate Almond Bark

I love simple ideas that make terrific gifts! Nothing is easier or tastier to make for Purim this year than these delicious chocolate candy pieces. I made these for Msloach Manos last year and along with a great bottle of wine, they were the perfect Purim idea.

Just make sure that you use good quality chocolate!

White Chocolate Almond Bark

16 oz. good quality white chocolate
2 oz. milk chocolate
3/4 cup whole raw almonds

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spread the almonds on a cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until almonds start emitting a nutty aroma. Remove, set aside.

Cover the bottom of a 9×13 pan with parchment paper leaving an inch extra on the ends.
Place 12 oz. of the white chocolate in a double boiler over medium-low heat. Melt chocolate, when the chocolate is almost completely melted add the last 4 oz. Mix in the almonds and pour into prepared 9×13 pan.

In a bowl, melt the milk chocolate in the microwave, 30 seconds. Sprinkle onto white chocolate, using a fork swirl the 2 chocolates together. Refrigerate 30 minutes or until completely firm. Remove from pan, peel off parchment paper and break up.
